My name is James McCarthy, but you can call me Jay.

I've spent my entire career at the intersection of technology, media, and business growth.

I started at Apple Computer in the late 1990s doing sales communications and marketing—back when technology was just beginning to change how businesses connect with customers. From there I spent a decade producing television for MotorTrend Online, learning how to tell compelling stories and build audiences at scale. Then I moved into medical device sales and marketing for medical practices and select small businesses in Las Vegas—spending years inside the day-to-day reality of what it actually takes to run and grow a local business.

I've seen it from every angle. The technology side. The media side. The sales side. And the small business owner side. What I kept seeing, across every industry and every market, was the same problem: great businesses with loyal customers and no reliable system to bring them back, answer every call, or follow up on every lead. The revenue was sitting right there—in a dormant customer list, in a missed call, in an unanswered text—and it was quietly walking out the door every day.

When I moved to Sanibel Island to build Salted Sun—my own aesthetic and wellness clinic—I found myself facing a 12 to 18 month runway before the doors open. Building from the ground up takes time. And if you know me, sitting still isn't exactly my strength. So I did what I've always done. I looked at the skills I'd spent years developing inside successful medical practices and combined them with the latest advances in artificial intelligence.

That's how BippiBot was born.

Today I help local businesses automate the repetitive work that keeps owners stuck—answering phones, following up with leads, booking appointments, reactivating past customers, collecting reviews, and keeping conversations moving 24/7. My goal isn't to replace people. It's to give business owners their time back while helping them grow.
